If you have been diagnosed as having panic attacks, and taking medication for it, why can you still have a fast heart rate in the middle of the night?

Pills can only do so much. They will not magically make everything all better. If you have a panic disorder, you should look into taking a class in panic management. The more knowledge you have and the more skills you have, the less the physical symptoms of panic will affect you.

Have you ever had your heart checked? I thought I was having panic attacks and found out that I have tachyardia as a result of an enlarged heart and defective heart valves. It could be that your medication is running out in the middle of the night but if it is happening when it shouldnt you need to back and see the doc.

Maybe you are so worried about your heart rate,u make it race. If u will relax and stop worring about it. It will go away.Stop worring u will see a difference,that's how I was.
