today in health class we was discussing different questions that we could come up with and someone asked if a person has fungus inside in their nail and fingered a girl could she get fungus in her vagina? it is possible??? could you guys help me out here so i could come up with an answer to explain tomorrow?? THANKSSSSSSSSS!!!

Well I can share a person experience with you, although its quite embarrasing. However it will clue you into how a fungus works as far as trasmitting to others.
Fungal infections tend not to pass from person to person, and sometimes its even hard to know how they started. It could be from many things.
However to tell you about my experience. I had a rash around my genital area and went to the doctor. It did not itch, it was just flat and a bit scaly looking I suppose. The doctor said I had a fungal infection and to get the foot fungus ointment from the store and it should go away. He told me that it would not be trasmitted by sex.
So if the doc is telling me its going to be ok to have sex even before any treatment, then I think it will be ok.
However I am NOT a proffesional, but only speaking from experience. If you want a real answer look up the transmission of fungal infections, or ask a doctor about it.

There is a possibility of a yeast infection. One should always wash their hands before engaging in activities like that.

I don't think a nail fungus would transmit to a vaginal fungus.

i believe it is false..i dont think fungal infection will happen just like that! not unless the fungal infection is all over his fingers...
