Raw food vegans eat only things that don't come from animals and are not cooked. Dehydrated is ok.
Fruit, veggies, sprouts, grains, nuts (raw, not roasted)
Someone mentioned bacteria. More people die of ecoli from tainted burgers each year than any other food related death.
Wake up America!
The advantages are the enzymes. Every living thing contains enzymes that break it down. When we die, cathepsin will be activated. Our "decomposition" is really "self-digestion." "Aged" beef is just a polite way of saying "lightly decomposed."
Our pancrease creates two kinds of enzymes. Metabolic and digestive. Metabolic repairs our body. Digestive breaks down our food.
Our food is so bad, 90 % of our pancreas creates digestive enzymes just to process our food. Our pancrese is 3 times the size of a cow's due to our hightened enzyme use.
This leaves only 10% of our enzymes for metabolic use. That is to repair our bodies. Diabetes sets in when we lose that 10%. Our bodies just fall apart.
Eating a raw food diet means the food you eat contains enzymes to break it down. YOU don't have to produce the enzymes to break it down. Your pancreas gets a break. You have more room for metabolic enzymes. You look better. You feel better. You heal faster.
