due to antibiotics i developed a yeast infection about 1 1/2 weeks ago. my fiance developed a rash on his penis last week. after some online research and looking at pics it seems like he contracted the infection from me. i had a yeast infection before and it was the same symptoms im having now. he is going to see his doctor tomorrow. here is my problem, i called and spoke with the nurse at my pcp's office and she agreed that is probably what it is. i called the nurse at my ob/gyns office to schedule an appointment and she asked about what kind of discharge i was having. i told her none and she said "well yall have an std, he cant get a yeast infection from you and you would be having thick white discharge". last i checked, the white "curdy" discharge may be a symptom but it doesnt have to be, right? she really irritated me. we have both been tested recently and although i know it still could be something else i really feel like it's not. i'm going to the doc tomorrow anyway.

Yes. A man can get a yeast infection from sex? Especially if he is uncircumcised.

P.S. Man can use the same creams as women do, to alleviate the problem.

Yep, a man can get a yeast infection from having sex with a woman who has a yeast infection. It usually doesn't last long however, because the yeast infection dies when it is exposed to sunlight and air. Uncircumcised males tend to have it last longer. Get yourself a full spectrum light, let him expose himself for 20 minutes 3 times a day to it and it will kill the infection if he has one. Also, if you are particularly acidic, (which is not hard to imagine after taking antibiotics), then he could simply be reacting to the acid in your vaginal canal. Remember, the greatest healer is sunlight! Instead of taking antibiotics in the future, try taking garlic (which has Allicin a natural antibiotic) and
Goldenseal. You can take two of each to start then one of each capsule at every meal (don't take them on an empty stomach, garlic can nauseate you), and one of each at bedtime. Take this for 5 days or until you experience relief from the symptoms, add another day and your done. It's less expensive and it works just as well if not better!

Also, for the next time you have a problem, instead of buying all of those expensive drugs that have come out, get yourself some L-lysine capsules (these work the best because they dissolve better). Douche in the morning with apple cider vinegar and water, a 1/4 vinegar to 3/4 water ratio. In the evening, shove a tablet inside of yourself as far as you can and go to bed. You might have to do this two nights in a row, but it will give you relief and kill the little yeastie beasties! L-lysine restores the acid/alkaline balance in your body, making it impossible for the yeast to grow. Good luck!

yes guys can get them. my bf had one that he got from me. make sure he gets treated for it though, because if he doesn't he'll keep giving it back to you when you have sex, and we both know, that they're no piece of cake. your doc telling you that you have an std is just insulting.
