Have you already been to a Dr. for this? Had any tests done. I would recommend going to a Neurologist and having an EMG done (Nerve Conduction Study). Neuropathy is treated with medications most times. B6 is a good vitamin to help and also there are many drugs that are used to help relieve the symptoms. Ask your Dr. about Cymbalta which is indicated for Diabetic Neurpathy. Another commonly prescribed medication is Lyrica. Both have to be used long term for maximum effect.
Good Luck!

My son has had type 1 diabetes for 10 years and has been through everything you are experiencing. It might be helpful (ok you may also find it a bit boring) to do a food diary over a week or 2 keeping a record of your blood test results taken at the same time every day to see how your diet affects the results. It might also help the nurse come up with better advice for you too. You must write everything down though if you want the right answers from her.

Neuropathy is the disease that damages or inflames the peripheral nerves, which connect the central nervous system to the sense organs (brain and spinal cord to muscles, glands and internal organs) numbness tingling, pain and muscle weakness are some symptoms, depending on the nerves affected. there are various types of neuropathy, some types have no obvious or detectable cause. Diabetes Mellitus can cause neuropathy. symptoms are different depending on whether it affects mainly sensory nerve fibers or motor nerve fibers. Full recovery from neuropathy is possible. the treatment is focused on the underlying cause of the disease. in neuropathy caused by diabetes, scrupulous attention to the control of blood sugar levels affords the best chance of recovery. No alcohol, and vitamin b complex are sometimes recommended.
