I took a STD and HIV test in October 2006. I never went back for the results because I was told by the head nurse (who calls people back to tell them they have an STD or HIV) that if your test results come back with anything positive they will call you. She also added that if you are clean you will not recieve a phone call. After she left the room another nurse told me I needed to come back to get the results. The test results usually come in within three to seven days. Well I never got a call back and so three weeks later I called them, but missed their phone call and never got around to calling them back. It's almost Feb. 2007 am I safe to assume that I'm clean?

Also in December of 2006 I went to the E.R. and got a pelvic and vaginal exam and was told I didn't have any STD's by the doctor, but I did have vaginitis. Would the clinic still have my results if I even called back?

I'm not trying to be irresponsible it's just nerve racking. I have no reason to believe I have anything since the person I was with didn't have any STDs and we wore condoms. I was just doing the test as a precaution. I haven't even had sex since June 2006.
