I am so confused. I just went to the doctor and found I had bacterial vaginosis and now I have 2 red bumps in the pubic hair area. And twice before I had these same bumps that itch but do not hurt and not blisters. Last time I had one a week for 4 weeks. Everytime one went away a new one came. Any ideas???? I have been tested for all other STD's and all were negative., Please help

I already had a swab test that was negative while I had one of these bumps but they are never open sores and I was tested at the county health department for all STD's

Well it happens..Of course if you shave that area it will itch usually it could be in-grown hairs as well...Sometime they can hurt but sometime they can itch...you may be allergic to your under-wear...It took me foreverto figure out why i was itching, I had to go comando for awhile because it itched all the time, and of course I thought I had you know what...but came up negative, finally found out I was allergic to laytex from the band of the under-wear..and also the fabric of the under-wear..so this could be an answer for you..try going without just to see if it is or not...

ingrown hair follicule. But..maybe not. The bumps appeared after the docter exam? Go back and have
them looked at or cultured. herpes, genital warts,
primary syphillis are possibilities, if you were incubating any of the above a lab test might not show up positive yet. But with symptoms, something should show up on the lab test and you can be treated. And Always use a condom, no matter the other birth control you might be using. The minor hassle is worth 100 times the crud you would go through with HiV. Think: A mixture of toxic drugs, at huge expense, just to ward off full blown aids.
Go to your doctor. Better safe than sorry. It's probably not serious but that is why we have lab tests and doctors. Most doctors today are very up on communicable diseases and "bumps" that scare the hell out of us.

Sounds like genital warts caused by a strain of HPV virus.
Normally, most clinics do not routinely test for HPV because
the tests are expensive and almost 80 percent of all women carry some form of the virus at some point and time in their life.
Most of the time the body just fights it off, but sometimes it doesn't (thats when symptoms show up). There is no cure for it.
You'll have outbreaks for the rest of your life, usually. It can be spread to your sex partners even with a condom or through oral sex.
Go Back insist on HPV screening test.

Sounds like an STD...maybe some strain of an HPV....
Also, some STD testing doesn't actually cover all viruses or bacteria.
My suggestion is that the next time you have your outbreak...make an appointment with the doctor to do a biopsy (if that is even needed) or a swab test.

If they are in the pubic hair area it could just be an irritation of the hair follicles. If you've been tested for STDs and everything came back negative, it's probably nothing to worry about. Try using cortisone cream on it and see if that helps.

You most likely don't have any STD's. Thats the vaginosis. Just apply some anti-itch cream. Plus the more you stress the more bumps you'll get. Just relax.

They may be just hair bumps. No big deal. I get them right before my cycle begins. Put a really hot Wash cloth on it and it will go down in size.
