Personally, since I live by the bay on the east coast of the US I have to say my favorite seafood is crab. Maryland blue crab to be exact... There as so many ways to prepare it!

i like extraordinarily a lot all seafood; calamari alaskan king crab snow crab trout salmon sole haddock cod halibut shark scallops oysters shrimp snapper smelts kippers sea bass lake and ocean perch tuna, salmon and marlin steaks have not yet tried monkfish, catfish, salted cod no longer that inspired with tilapia.

American, here ....
Shrimp - done very briefly in butter and lemon juice in a skillet ... served with steamed rice &
also shrimp salad sandwich on a hard roll
Lobster - salad with a mayonnaise dressing and pieces of celery, etc... /// also: just plain ..
Clam - fried (unfortunately), and chowder
Seafood salad with crab, shrimp, lobster
mayonnaise dressing and pieces of celery and celery seed , salt ..little onion ..
Scallops - the small ones done very quickly in hot soybean oil .... and served absolutely plain ...
Linguine with pasta ... very good!
Swordfish broiled with butter
Trout - in a pan with butter and lemon
Tile fish with onion/soysauce/garlic marinade done in wok with beansprouts and tofu / steamed rice ...
Gefilte fish ...the Jewish specialty, done with jelly and cooked vegetables... and jellied carp from the same source ...
Haddock fillet, dipped in cornmeal and fresh parsley, then rolled up ... a bit of butter on top, then steamed
I must stop... this is making me hungry!!!

I love all seafood! From something simple as clams and shrimp to lobster, squid, octopus.
