within the past two months my tolerance for alcohol has decreased,now after only 2 cocktails or glasses of wine ,i feel dizzy and my heart beat increases dramatically, i have a family history of diabetes,so could this be a warning sighn....I dont drink a lot ...maybe glass of wine with dinner on the weekend or a couple of martinis....nothing during the week.

Alcohol contains sugar. I can't remember the specific name of that type. Look at labels to see if anything ends in 'ose' or 'tose'. Those are different types of sugars.
Go to your doctor to have a glucose-tolerance test, preferably the 7-hour test.
Hopefully, you catch in time, and may or may not be insulin-dependant. Good luck.

It could be, get tested to make sure you're OK.
Tolerance to alcohol can decrease as you get older (if you are an infrequent drinker) just note what your body is telling you and drink less;

it could also be an allergy. My husband and I both recently found out that we have an allergy to both malt and yeast which are in alcoholic drinks. You can develop allergies to food and drink as you get older. I go to an excellent allergist now and he is really helping to relieve all of my allergies for life.
