should i call my wife and tell her she can come back with the kids now and leave the house the messs that is in or should i clean it first then call her.

Wow, you must have had some party. If you haven't seen the wife and kids since 1/1/07, I would not bother calling them. They are not coming back.

Heh, here's what you do. Clean 90% of the house. When she walks in the door, keep cleaning that last 10% so she knows that it's not her job. :)
