You should understand that most of the vegetables have negligible amount of calorie content. Though some of them have very very low amounts of calorie. They are - gourds, tomatoes, cabbage, lettuce to name a few. But the calorie content can increase considerably if they are fried or sauted in some oil or butter. So, they are useful when ingested in a boiled state.

You can eat a diet full of lots and lots of veg when trying to control weight. The only things you need to watch are potatoes, as they are high in carbohydrates and starch, and sweetcorn and peas as they are high in natural sugars.
But the old theory that things like celery burn off more calories by eating them than they add to your body have been debunked in recent years (in that particular case by discovering that the "scientist" who worked out the figures, put the decimal point in the wrong place!)

Eat plenty of raw fruit and You won't have to worry about calorie control but if You do want to
to worry then it's Lettuce, celery, carrots, onions, parsley. I suggest a diet of mostly fruit, some beans, corn,plenty of beets & greens, some potatos, carrots or turnips, grains cereals moderate amount of pasta and avoid meats or at least cut down on meats

celery and lettuce ( i know they are boring) have less calories in them than you'll burn digesting them, therefor you actually burn calories. also drinking a glass of cold water before eating will burn more calories.
