Hmmm... I love Italian food. My fave would be a nice seafood vodka sauce and penne. When it gets cold though I make a big pot of saffron risotto or risotto alla milanese with nice some nice scallops. The buttery taste of the scallops go well with the creamy texture of the rice. Yummo when it is paired with the pinot grigio from bracco wines.Now I am hungry. Diet has loss the battle again lol!

My favorite is an Italian sausage pasta dish. With red, green and yellow peppers... Mushrooms too. Lots of parmesan cheese on top. I like to put Italian seasonings in it too. My boyfriend also loves it.

Linguini alla Carbonara- usually tossed with Pancetta(italian bacon, egg yolks-or the whole egg, Parmigiano cheese, or Zucca ravioli(squash ravioli) with a brown butter and sage dressing.

Any of the fat noodles - gnocchi, cavatelli, etc
Gnocchi has become a family favorite. It's something my kids really enjoy and I've been able to find a healthy version - whole wheat and sweet potato. We had turkey meatballs and sauce w/ a package of spinach mixed in. It was very satisfying and I think pretty healthy.
