Last Friday I went to my physician and had a blood draw for testing the level of a certain medicine. I arrived after the lab that picks up blood tests left. That means that my vial of blood will be sitting in the closed clinic till Mondays' pickup which is done daily. If anybody from a lab answers, my question is, will my sample of unrefridgerated or unfrozen blood be testable or if it was refridgerated will it still be good for testing? What would be the proper procedure for a situation such as this?

Do not be worry, your blood will be good for testing during 72 hours.

Your blood is fine. When they do tests that can't be run right away they use a tube that contains the proper type of preservative in it. They would not have drawn your blood if they couldn't preserve it till it could be tested.

it doesnt matter cause the blood is sent to a lab far off and then they unfreeze it and test it.
it will probably go to labcorp where they test it.

Are you worried that all the drugs you've been taking are going to morph into something from Colu? Relax... they're paid big bucks to get it right.
Superman wouldn't worry and neither should you.... Billy goat gruff.
