Last Friday I went to my physician and had a blood draw for testing the level of a certain medicine. I arrived after the lab that picks up blood tests left. That means that my vial of blood will be sitting in the closed clinic till Mondays' pickup which is done daily. If anybody from a lab answers, my question is, will my sample of unrefridgerated or unfrozen blood be testable or if it was refridgerated will it still be good for testing? What would be the proper procedure for a situation such as this?

The condition the blood needs to be keep in is determined by the test that is being performed on it. Some test, it doesn't matter, and I suspect this is one of those. Otherwise I think the lab would have told you to come back.

I have been told that in unrefrigerated blood the blood sugar levels can rise about 10-15%. For what its worth.
