Is pop vegan? What about flour that one would buy from a grocery store? What are some common foods that one would think are vegan but really aren't? How long does it take for being vegan to come more naturally (that is, not have the urge to eat meat/eggs/milk/cheese/refined sugar/alcohol)? How much more by percentage does vegan food cost than regular food? If you have tips/advice that you think every new vegan should know, what are they? Thank you very much.

I'll try to tackle a little of that...

most important tip : get a list of food additives, showing you which are animal, non animal or synthetic.
for example any additive that's Calcium or Phosphorus something could come from bone.
In the UK you can get things like that from the Vegan society if you join, maybe if you need lots of info you should consider finding a society like that one where you are?

The other thing I would say is that if it doesn't feel natural to you not to have something you should probably listen to your body's cravings. Make sure you get all the vitamins and minerals you need, and if you feel like you might be missing out take a supplement ( check that it's vegan....) 'til you find a vegan source to add to your diet

I don't understand why you can't have vegan alcohol?

watch out for things containing honey, and consider your wardrobe- are you wearing wool, silk and leather...?

good luck:)

Pop is not vegan if it has refined sugar, but most have corn fructose, so it's just unhealthy.
The things to look for on labels are egg whites and whey. Lots of baked goods have whey, breads, crackers

Flour is OK.

There are lots of vegan lunch meats by Tofurky and other brands, too. They provide good protein.

I'm sorry but I'm not a vegan

I'm a vegetarian

If you go to the nearest health food store, they have great vegan foods, if it's to expense, then go to the super market and look in the frozen food aisle
