If you're not sure whether you can overdose on insulin I'd suggest that you shouldn't be adjusting your doses until such time as it's been explained to you.
If you overdose by a small amount, you will go hypo. Depending on how much you overdose by, you may have a severe hypo where you lose consciousness. If you overdose by a large amount you could, in fact, kill yourself.
Play safe, my friend. Get your diabetes team to explain to you what amounts would be safe for you to take extra, and in what circumstances.

Yes you can. It's important to know how long the insulin last; is it short acting, long - as 12 hours, longer as 24 hours. You need to be careful, and pay attention so you don't have injections overlapping in a way that can cause low blood sugars to "sneak" up on you.
Check you blood sugar when you eat, before you take insulin and again after you eat. It is important to pay close attention. There are many good websites that will help, I suggest you google diabetes and you will have more information and help than you can use.

Yes, you can overdose on insulin and cause your blood sugar to plummet. Talk to your doctor about it or contact the American Diabetes Association (or the association in your country if you don't live in the USA) for information on how handle an insulin overdose. I know for certain that they will NOT recommend the "treatment" my mother used.....eating a big bowl of ice cream. Doing that sent her sugar soaring.

If you have yellow coloring, you might have liver damage. How long ago was it that you overdosed? I would suggest that you try not taking any drug except for what has been prescribed for you. That includes alcohol. Drink lots of fluids. Eat a vegetable, a carbohydrate and a portion of meat or some other kind of protein for supper. Eat a multi-vitamin packed cereal for breakfast. Eat something light but nutritious for lunch. Nuts are a good snack. They have lots of minerals. It sounds like you need a good check up from your doctor, though. Make an appointment.

You won't OD if you adjust in small increments. Start with 4 and work up to 10 as you get better at it. Check your bg before and after you've comedown to a safe level. Keep tract of bgs, time injected, activiity (average pulse), type of insulin, and volume injected. Record timing. Divide bg change by time change. This is your blood sugar reduction differential for the scenario.
Sooner than you know, you will be shooting up on the fly and know exactly what you need.

Yes, absolutely, too much insulin can drop your blood sugar too much, and can even cause death.
Work with your doctor to get more training and education on how to be sure you are taking the right amount, measuring correctly, reading the syringe correctly, all the things necessary to use iinsulin properly.
Many communities have special teaching programs set up for diabetics, and your doctor can refer you to one of these.
Good luck!
