not that i know of, there isnt oatmeal with cookie dough in it maybe u could add chocolate chips . oatmeal is good for you if you are on a diet because it is filled with fiber but not if you're planning to have cookie dough in it. I like eating oatmeal every morning and i simply add brown sugar , food flavor(like strawberry , banana , vanilla etc....) they also have instant oatmeal with fruit in them.

It is a thick paste made from oats and water usually served hot and eaten for breakfast in the western world. I would think that in India, it's called oatmeal, porridge or hot cereal. As others have mentioned, you can add sugar, honey , jam, fruits (raisins are most commonly used in the U.S.), cinnamon, etc. There is instant oatmeal that can be prepared with hot water only. No cooking on the stove top needed.

porridge or US oatmeal is made from rolled oats, but it's also worth knowing that unrolled oats are known as oatmeal in the UK. they're great for making oatcakes.

I'm not sure if this is what you're asking....but 'upma' which is a South Indian breakfast dish is often made from 'cream of wheat'. Obviously it's made from wheat.

But, oatmeal is made from oats.

It is oats cut up to cook more quickly and be more digestible. I don't know what it's called in India. I disagree that it is tasteless but you can add any flavors you like to it because it readily blends with other flavors. Most people like apple, banana, berries, peanut butter, cinnamon, maple syrup, brown sugar, nutmeg, milk/cream in any and all combinations. I personally prefer butter, salt and pepper or a little grated cheese and some bacon bits.

No it is not tasteless. In North Indian language it is called jaee.
It is grown as fodder for the cows, buffaloes and horses. It's seed like that of barley but thinner and longer is the oats.
