Sodium and potassium are counter ions. Lower in potassium ion means higher the sodium levels. This will lead to high blood pressure. Leads to heart diseases.
eat banana , kiwi fruit they are all good source of potassium.

As a fellow diabetic. I once spent 4 day sin the hospital with high blood sugar/low potassium.
When they checked me in all of my muscles where cramping up bad my legs were really cramped. My calves were balled up and it sucked.
If you are diabetic and are even feeling bad like maybe something is out of wack GET TO A DOCTOR. This ain't nothing to fool around with.

It is dangerous. Low potassium can stop your heart from beating.
This is why bullemics often die.. they lose potassium when they vomit...they do not have enough left for their heart to beat.
