I'm very concerned about the smell of my girlfriend's vaginal opening. It smells like dead children. It's been this way for several weeks now, and I am starting to get very worried. What should I do?

Break up with her. There's other fish in the sea, that don't smell as bad.

Wash it - but a nice way to make sure it's done and you won't offend her is to suggest having a bath or shower together. If it still smells then she might have some kind of infection and she'll need to go and see her doctor. Probably isn't thrush as that doesn't smell.

If she is a clean person by nature, and this odor is a new problem, it is very likely that she has contracted an infection of some type. Does she complain of discomfort? Is it red? Is there discharge? If a good washing does not solved the proble, then she definitely needs to see her doctor--sooner than later. Hope everything is OK.

maybe she not washing properly. Or it can even be infection, so she might want to go see a doctor make sure she good down there. Plus the guy that said she should douche is wrong. Women should never douche it can cause infection.

haha!, i'm sorry for the guy that asked this....but these answers are the funniest thing i've read in a long time!!! lol! seriously though...she could have something wrong down there, so she should get checked out. Douching is bad, it can cause bad bacteria to grow down there if it isn't already.

It could be that she has been infected with HPV aka warts. The discharge is disgusting in the beginning and will clear. Smell is putred, I mean awful! Then the warts come. Just get her to a doctor.

you and her both need to go to the doctor... her to the gyn clinic and you to a gu clinic... gu clinics are not very popular so you might need a refferal. but if she has something you may have it to. she may just have a vaginal infection caused by a normal bacteria in her vagina that is overgrowing. if this is so it is not transferrable to you but you won't know unless she and you both go to get checked... good luck...

you both need to be checked out by a doc. if it is a yeast infection, which it probably is not; you will have it to and need to be treated so you don't keep giving back to her. yeast infections usually do not have the terrible odor you are describing. could it be a tampon she forgot to remove? it is surprising how often this happens.
