Silk soymilk makes a really good light (comes in vanilla too) so tasty and doesn't contain the harmful components of dairy (hormones, milk protein linked to cancer growth, lactose, etc). 8th continent also has a light soymilk that i like as well.

I drink both Organic milk and soymilk. I switch it up because I don't want to loose out on the benefits of milk. I absolutely love choclate Silk soymilk, and Organic Valley 2% milk. My cousin will not drink 8th Continet [i think thats what its called] but I tried it and found it to be alright [we don't have it here so i dont buy it regularly]. So, what I am really trying to say is that you should try out different kinds and see what you prefer. My sister who is lactose intolerant came up with a great recipe for chocolate & brownie icecream that is creamier, healthier & more delicious than regular ice cream! if you are interested in the recipe give me an email and i'll get it from her...

Try almond milk. It taste better than soy and is healthier. Nutritional Highlights
Almond milk (non-dairy), 8 oz. (237mL)

At 60 calories per cup, almond milk is a good low-calorie choice for those seeking an alternative to cow’s milk. It’s also richest in heart-healthy monounsaturated fats. Made by finely grinding skinned almonds in water, commercially processed almond milk loses much of the nutritional punch of whole almonds (including calcium, protein, and vitamin E) through dilution. Manufacturers remedy this problem by fortifying the liquid, with some brands boasting half the daily value for vitamin E (most other milks contain very little of this important antioxidant) and about one-third the calcium and protein of enriched soy and dairy milks.
Many people enjoy making their own almond milk; all you need is a blender and a strainer. “Homemade almond milk imparts an abundance of enzymes, amino acids, and minerals found in fresh, raw foods,” says Janet Doane, author of Almond Essence (Seed Publishing, 2001). Still, for convenience, it’s readily available in cartons. It’s an excellent choice for low-carb or low-calorie diet adherents, with a delicate, nutty flavor that works well in baked goods, desserts, and smoothies.

I tried that once and was sorry. Soy milk is sweeter than cow's milk and has a gritty texture and a terrible taste. I have tried regular and light soy milk and I have tried different brands. The only exception is chocolate Silk. Silk is the brand name and you won't find a better chocolate milk anywhere. But the calories are high.
