that makes it a crime to have unprotected sex (or sex period) with someone and not disclose the fact that you have Herpes?

I have read that this is a highly contagious virus and can still be transmitted even if you're on meds. If you're using condoms and they break or slip...the unsuspecting person has been exposed. Correct?

Thanks for answering.

Many states have this law. I believe it may also be on the federal level. If you have sexual acts with a person while knowing you have a sexually transmitted disease and not disclosing it, you can be prosecuted and end up in jail.

The virus can be spread even if using a condom and even if the infected person is not having an outbreak. There is nothing guaranteeing 100% avoidance except abstinence.

I lived in NC a few years ago. I have never heard of any such law. You are correct that it is very contagious. You can be infected and not know it for a while. Usually stress brings on an outbreak. If you are single and having multiple partners please all ways use protection. You can't all ways tell by looking at a person if they have an STD. Remember there is no cure for herpes. Its a virus and symptoms come and go. I have a friend who's 17 year old daughter caught Herpes from the first guy she had sex with. So be care full.

You can't get rid of herpes no cure.So if the law is not in place it should be.Kissing a person can also pass this.
