The glucophage is an amazing medication.
It will help your diabetes right away.I've been on it for years.

Okay, so apparently you've been diagnosed diabetic if you've been prescribed Glucophage. You're now asking about second opinions. Is the diabetes itself you are questioning or the medication? Who diagnosed you and prescribed this med? Is it a family doctor? Someone you've known for awhile or someone you picked out of a book? Is this person a General Practice physician, Internal Medicine or a specialist (An endocrinologist)?
If it is the disease you are questioning, then go get a second opinion, but please do it soon. If you are diabetic (and it sounds like you are) you need treatment of some type quickly. The complications of diabetes are wide-range and can be devasting. If it the meds you are questioning, then do a little research. I think you'll find that Glucohage is one of the most commonly prescribed meds for type 2s.
Have you started educating yourself about this disease yet? I'm really not trying to be a smart-azz here. I'm asking because there is a lot you need to know. The first year after being diagnosed is going to be busy! There is a lot you can do to manage this disease with a controlled diet and daily exercise.
Whatever you decide to do, please do something quickly. Control the disease, don't let it control you!

Take the glucophage. Be prepared for some pretty bad diarrhea at first. Try to stick it out and that should get better.

has your blood sugar been high [above 125] for along time? if so,you need to start on a pill now....email me if u need to....
