No, it's not a serious question.
A far-fetched situation like this is hardly a real-life dilemma, or have you actually known a vegetarian who came face to face with a blood-thirsty chicken-murderer like that?

No. my reasons for being vegetarian aren't purely political/environmental or whatever...chickens are slaughtered all the time.

No, I wouldn't. Blackmail is never a reason to do anything, and violating my own principles is just as wrong as someone else needlessly slaughtering animals. The death of another creature would be on their conscience, not mine.
So, how about you? If you were told to shoot your father or your mother would be killed, would you do it? How about your kid brother? Great-aunt Beulah? Cousin Freddy, the one that put chewing gum in your hair in third grade?

No. The blood would be on the hands of the chicken-killer, not me. I'd still have my values intact and the chicken-killer would have a lot of chicken to eat.

no because theres thousands and thousands of chickens slaughtered everyday ....it would eventually be slaughtered...probably in some cruel way like always
