CSA Travel Protection has coverage for Pre existing medical conditions. I have used them in the past and the good thing is that they only look back six months from the plcy purchase date. Also, they give upto 24 hours after final payment is made to purchase and have your medical conditions covered. Most companies I spoke with you only have like 14 days or something like that.

Best place to start, if you are in the USA, is with a travel insurance comparison site. The top two site based on the number of travel insurance plans offered, are:
http://www.quotewright.com
http://www.insuremytrip.com
With you wife's condition it would benefit you to find a plan that will waiver their pre-existing conditions exclusion. All travel insurance plans exclude pre-existing medical conditions however, many of them will waive that exclusion if you meet certain requirements. The above sites will provide those requirements and show you the appropriate plans.

Try the post office travel insurance, they are quite good with 'conditions' all you wold have to do is phone up the insurers ( phone number from appication form available at PO ) they will confirm the condition, charge and addl premium if any. Then the rest of the policy is delt with by the PO.

i always get mine at the post office and you have to declare as i have to heart surgery recovery they charge extra for this with a insurance company and with age extra it still is better than MOST travel insurances just call into your local post office and get the forms off the shelf and the person over the counter will tell you what you have to do its quite simple Good Luck enjoy your holiday both of you
