I would have to answer no to that. It's actually a pandemic, or an epidemic that spreads across a large region (or even worldwide). In some parts of Africa, there are children living alone because both parents have died from AIDS. There are also orphanages filled with nothing but children who have AIDS. But right here in the US, HIV and AIDS has become an epidemic among the African American community. Even though African Americans only account for about 13% of the population, they account for about one half of new cases each year. I'm not trying to make this a race issue, however. Everybody needs to wrap it up!

If people keep having unprotected sex...it could very well rise to epidemic proportions.
