Approximately 20 cigarettes a day - more watching a hockey game with a beer.

NONE-
NEVER HAVE, NEVER WILL

Most of my family and friends smoke, I just never cared for it. Didnt even try actually, because I was involved in sports-i guess and had asthma, lol already had trouble breathing...

You can suggest, you can write books, you can protest and you can support. I have found that if the person wants to give up bad enough they will OR (lol) luckily my dad got so sick he couldnt breathe and could not stand to light another cigarette.

I dont like that they smoke, but I am not gonna damn them for doing so. They know the side effects, it stares them in the face every day.

Even with the fact that my Gramma died from it, My mother still does it... go figure. She has the cough, and I kid her - oh cmon mom dont stop now I wont be able to find u in the store. (i am kidding and she knows it) SHE HAS TRIED, BUT CANNOT she smokes almost 3 packs a day.

I would ask that you do mention that people understand that it is a very hard thing to do...but you as well as I would just like to help stop.

Normally a pack and a half per day. But, I'm laid off work right now, so I'm on this darn computer all the time, chain smoking. I went up to two and a half packs per day. Smart huh? Less money, and I smoke more! One tip for you, don't smoke in your house/apt. When we had to go outside in the cold we smoked A LOT less. Good luck with quitting, but like you said- you have to want it:)

I smoke between a half pack and a pack a day. If I am busy I smoke a bit less. If I'm board I smoke more but not usually more than a pack.

ZERO!! ...Yeah! I quite smoking six years ago. I went from a pack a day to cold turkey. That's the best way I think. (that's my opinion) Lot's of sunflower seeds (Jalopeno or BBQ were favs) and lot's of gum (real gum not nicorrette).

It's still hard and every day I still have cravings, but I will never smoke again. Good luck with your book! ;-)

I don't smoke - somehow never managed to get addicted :)

I know of one interesting way to quit smoking, which is to delay the moment of lighting your first cigarette by 5 minutes every day. Hope this helps.
