Ummm, okay. I was not going to write anything but apparently my grandma was right, the internet is evil. It allows any knucklehead to prescribe vasodilating medication to any neurotic female anywhere on Earth. Yes, it is true that females do tend to have weird cardiac symptoms. Yes, it is possible for a 29 year old to have one. Should this person take aspirin? Well, she could if she knew how much to take. Do you? I am a licensed EMT in the state of Indiana. If I was called to your house for the symptoms you're having I would give you ASA and suggest you go to the ER to get checked out. Do you know WHY I would give it to you? Not gonna tell you how much because your protocols for treatment may be different in the state you're in. Are you allergic to aspirin? No? What if you developed an allergy to it from the last time taking it? Would you be able to recognize the symptoms of an allergic reaction? What do you do? Secondly, DO NOT EVER TAKE NITRO THAT IS NOT PRESCRIBED TO YOU. You could die. Nitroglycerin is a potent vasodilator. You would have to be a bigger retard than that guy who tried to rob a bank with his hand in the shape of a gun. If you are taking certain medications already, taking nitro with them could kill you in MINUTES. What is it indicated for? Do you know what an indication is? What is it contraindicated for? Do you know what that is? If you don't know, that's fine. What's not fine is listening to advice from people who don't know either. Now I applaud those of us who take an aggressive stance against disease but let's do it responsibly. Or let me put is this way, if you don't have a medical certification: SHUT UP!

No one is too young for a heart attack. Females generally do not have them because of their menstrual cycle...too long to explain However, if you fall into these categories, you should definitely check it out: Overweight, smoker, high cholesterol, hypertension.
You mentioned pain in your lower chest shooting up to your shoulder and right arm is numb, right? How long does this last? How frequently does this happen? What makes it better?...what makes it worse? How long has this been going on and do you think it is becoming more frequent? Included in the symptoms are sweating, nausea, rapid, irregular pulse, heaviness on the chest, shortness of breath, pain in neck and jaw. If these things are happening, or do happen to you, call 911 and tell them what you are experiencing. I am a Regional Faculty for the American Heart Association and teach CPR regularly. I am also a Registered Nurse Practitioner. Don't treat it ligthly. In many cases, the individual is having panic attacks...in some cases they are not and are having cardiac spasms....some are truly having a heart attack. One tip...when this happens, take a regular aspirin. If you have a clot that is loose in your criculatory system, it can be dissolved by the blood-thining qualities of an aspirin. Please seek help so you will know just exactly what is causing you to have these upsetting symptoms and Good Luck!

If you are not at risk for a heart attack (high blood pressure, over weight, high colesterol, family history, couch potato), then other causes may be more likely.

If the pain occurs in association with moving or sitting a certain way, then the symptoms could very well be a pinched nerve in your spine. Pinched nerves cause a pins and needles feeling along with pain.

Nerves that emerge from the first two thoracic vertebrae below the neck are the roots for the nerves to the inside part of your arms. Problems with these nerves can cause pain and numbness in the arm and referred pain to radiate to the chest. A visit to a reputable chiropractor that is associated with a hospital or medical clinic might be a good place to start. Otherwise, your regular doc could set you up for an MRI of your spine.

Heart supplies blood to all the body organs and for proper functioning heart itself gets boold supply through thin coronary arteries. As person grows fat accumulation takes place inside the arteries and progressively they get blocked, narrower the artery earlier the chances of blockade. Initially it starts paining (angina) but when complete blockade occurs the area supplied by that artery becomes infarcted or dead and that is called heart attack.
Heart attack is commonly a disease of elderly people but due to strong family history and some genetic changes it can also happen in youth.
There can be other reasons also which simulate the pain of angina but you should never delay in consulting a cardiologist for your problem.

You should get checked by a doc.
Alot of people have said heart attacks feel like indigestion. If you have aching or tightness in your chest and are having trouble breathing, get to the emergency room!
Typically, it'll be your left shoulder that hurts with a heart attack. But get checked anyway!
You arent too young. People much younger have had them.

you need to have this evaluated by your doctor because no age is too young for a heart attack...as for the people suggesting taking a nitro pill...NEVER take anything not prescribed for you...nitro is a powerful drug and you have no idea if you are allergic to it or what your reaction to it may be...typically they say left arm chest pain for heart attacks but this is not always true, and woman tend to display different heart attack signs then men...so call your doc and see him/her or if it a concern now and continuos to occur go to the local emergency room
