All transplants are eventually rejected. I was given a time span of 5 to 15 years for my replacement heart. Better than the 5 to 15 months I was given without it. Even a by-pass using your own veins is eventually rejected and has to be redone.

That is usually the case. Your body ALWAYS has a chance of rejecting any transplanted organ. Anybody that has an organ transplant has to take anti-rejection drugs for the rest of their lives. To answer the question of accepting it - why wouldn't you? If you will live longer and healthier then OF COURSE!

The scenario describe is the most common case for nearly all transplants. It is very rare (almost impossible in fact) to get an exact match, expect with an identical twin. Therefore, if one was to decline an organ under these circumstances almost no one would get a transplant.

Yes i would take the heart if i knew i would die with out it. there is always a rick of regection of the organ but if my chances were not good with out it i would go for it. No one wants to die but for a chance to live i would gamble.
