Brand? Flavour? Is this another American way of de-nationalizing ethnic food? Hummus is Arabic (Lebanese) and there is just one way of making it as far as I know. First you boil chickpeas and mash them. As you do so, you add lots of lemon juice, crushed garlic, and tahini. The amount of lemon juice and tahini depends on your palate. Season with some salt. When serving, you "decorate" it with crushed red hot peper (chili), cumin, sumac etc. Sprinkle some freshly chopped parsley and pour a little bit of virgin olive oil. This is the basic recipe for hummus. Please do not try to add or change flavours. Otherwise soon we will have funny things like vanilla hummus, strawberry hummus etc. just like it was done to plain old yoghurt.

Garlic is my favorite. As far as brands go, I buy mine freshly made from Neomonde bakery/restaurant locally.

The one that you find is to your liking. We're all different, so we all have different palates.
