I was prescribed Singulair 10 Milligram tablets today and I have no idea what to expect. I have previously been on Advair and had no luck with that, it didn't provide any noticable help for me, and Dr. took me off of it. I have been prescribed Singulair, and Xopenex for my nebulizer, I was previously nebulizing Albuterol. I am still prescribed Albuterol inhaler. Please let me know if you have had success with th Singulair and any information on Xopenex would be great also. I HATE ASTHMA, and cannot wait for it to be under control. I had adult onset asthma at 19 years old. I am in my 30's now. Thanks so much for your help.

MY SON HAS BEEN ON SINGULAIR FOR TWO YEARS NOW. WE HAVE HAD VERY GOOD RESULTS WITH THIS MEDICATION. HE ALSO USES 2 PUFFS OF FLOW VENT IN THE EVENING." HE IS 9 ." AT OUR LAST PULMONARY APPT HIS BERATING TEST SHOWED THAT HE WENT FROM A 60 TO AN 88 ALMOST NORMAL.
EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT AND IT DOES TAKE SOME TRIAL AND ERROR TO GET THE RIGHT MEDICATION.
HIS ASTHMA IS UNDER GOOD CONTROL RIGHT NOW. HE TO HATED IT UNTIL WE GOT HIM UNDER CONTROL.I SPENT A LOT OF TIME EXPLAINING ASTHMA TO HIM TO RE -ASSURE HIM AND EDUCATE HIM WHAT SIGNS TO BEWARE OF .
I SENT YOU A LINK ABOUT XOPENEX. I THINK THE ONLY DIFFERENCE I SEE WITH MY SON IS IT DOES NOT MAKE HIM AS SHAKY AFTER A TREATMENT. PLEASE FOLLOW YOUR DOCTORS ADVICE CHECK YOUR PEEK FLOWS AND GO BACK TO YOUR DOCTOR IF YOU ARE NOT GETTING RELIEF FROM YOUR MEDS.
GOOD LUCK. I HOPE YOU WILL FEEL BETTER SOON.

I was prescribed singular and had to stop taking it. It did help to regulate my breathing, but it made me very shaky. I also experienced nausea from it. I wasn't able to sleep while on it. (although I am very sensitive to lots of medicines) I think that it just was not a good fit for me. Hopefully it works better for you! Good luck and happy breathing!

My daughter and I have both used Singular with very good results. I have found it to be very good at controlling attacks. I hope it works for you.
