If she has a herpes and is not visible yet, both of you will have it. Ask your doctor for an advise.

Yes, you can contract the virus when a person is showing no symptoms. The problem is that the virus may be "shedding" which is when the virus is up at the skin but visible signs are not present. As far as which type of the virus it is, well it all depends. HSV1 is typically found in the mouth region, however doctors have been seeing outbreaks on the genitals rise in the last 10 years. HSV2 may also be spread to either the mouth or genitals. It does not matter where the virus breaks out, but rather what strain it is. You must be cautious with both types of herpes, but more so with the HSV2. Most importantly DON'T TOUCH THEM. Condoms unfortunately are less than effective in prevention of this type of virus. If the individual is breaking out where and the condom does not cover you where the break is occurring you may catch the virus. Similarly, HPV is the only other incurable disease that condoms do not protect against. This is not to say that you cannot have sex anymore. You must always use a condom because the condom does help prevent if the virus is shedding, and never have sex while having an outbreak. You may have already had the virus too, some people carry the virus and do not know they have it because they never have an outbreak. Certain situations such as stress, too much sunlight, or a weakened immune system can trigger the virus into activation. if you think you contracted it from her you may want to talk about it with her to let her know to get tested so she does not infect others or to check to see if you have spread the virus to her. Hope this helps.

"Genital herpes" is only the name of the type of herpes virus. There are two main types of herpes, HSV-1 which is called mouth herpes, and HSV-2 which is called genital herpes. This however, is just because they have a preference towards outbreaks in either area. The virus however, still circulates all the way through out your body, so you may very well get herpes from unprotected oral sex, regardless of herpes type. I would check with a doctor anyway. Too long it was believed that oral and genital herpes are not interchangable, only to find out that oral herpes can end up on the genitals as well. So maybe it works vice versa and could cause you misery.

I got clinically diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about five yrs ago, when I was still in college and had a stupid one-night stand. I realize a lot of young ladies will say this, but I swear I had certainly not done that sort of thing before. I just made a huge mistake that one time and all of a sudden it seemed like I was going to have to live with the implications for the rest of my life. The hardest part was feeling I could never date men again. In the end, who wants to go out with a girl that has sores around her private parts? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/5DZYp everything got better.

Not only was I able to eliminate all remnants of the hsv from my system in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating again. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so lucky to write that just a week ago, in front of everyone in a busy cafe, he got down on one knee and proposed to me! This method provided the opportunity to be happy and experience real love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the World.

HSV 1 is supposed to be "above the belt" and HSV 2 , "below the belt".
This is only a guideline. The viruses don't know the rule. So if someone has oral HSV 2 , then fellatio could transmit it.
However a properly used condom should prevent this.
The sure way to check is for both of you to get blood tests.

Yes you can. It can cross over. It is very contagious and even HSV1 can infect the eye and skin. If someone had a cold sore and gave oral sex, they could infect the genitals.
