Make sure you drink plenty of fluids. Water is great but fruit juice will replenish any lost salts and vitamins. Make sure it's pure fruit juice.

Eating spicy foods such as chillies, garlic and onions can reduce the mucus produced when suffering from a cough. Eaten regularly it can lessen the onset of such an ailment.

Avoid dairy and fried foods which cause mucous production to rise.

Also a cup of tea can help sooth the body inside and losen some of the mucus. You can also use a warm water bottle on the chest to sooth it further.

That's interesting you would ask, I coughed for a month then researched and found out to eat fresh garlic and Cayenne pepper.I immediately stopped coughing.well completely with in a few days.anyway..Its been two weeks and haven't coughed once. since I Begin eating that.But of course it might be a bronchial infection. take golden seal herb tea for that.

consult medical help if its a persistent cough. unless its habitual.

try TCM if "western " medicine dont help?
