If you have perscribed inhalers you need to keep them to use when you have an attack. NOTHNIG can help you during an attack like a Doctor perscribed inhaler.

Ask your doctor about some good Stop Smoking methods, there are pills you can take, patches, gum, etc. @ your local WalMart. They look expensive, but with ciggs going up $1 per pack recently, they are FAR cheaper than smoking.

However here are things which help IN ADDITION TO your inhalers:

Vacume regulary.

Sweep regulary.

Wash off ceiling & other fans at least twice a month.

Wash all bed linnen at least once a week.

Get a air filter/purifier for each room, set them close to the bed while sleeping, and the chair you are sitting in.

Wash curtains & draperies at least once a week if you are in a dusty area, if not twice a month will suffice.

Keep pet dander down by washing your pets once a week, and be sure to brush them daily.

When you are cleaning out closets, vacuming, dusting, sweeping, gardening, grooming pets, etc. Use a dust mask on your face, they sell them cheap at Lowes, Home Depot, and WalMart in the handyman area of the store.

There are different types of asthma, so you really need to go with your doctor's advise.

I have a stress-induced asthma, and I don't need to use inhalers. I can control mine with diet and exercise and keep a clean-air environment at home. But some people with asthma can't use exercise to control theirs. However, I can tell you the first step you will need to do, is quit smoking and try to avoid being in areas with high amounts of concentrated second-hand smoke. That's the one thing I can't control and tend to have minor attacks if I'm in smoky places for more than an 1 or so.

My brother is an asthmatic and after ten years his asthma has shown no sign of improving. He has been to several doctors but they didn't help much.

If you want a proven, all-natural way to cure your asthma, without having to pay for useless medications with harmful side-effects, then this is the most important page you'll ever read.

One method that has really taken off is the energy therapy called Emotional Freedom Technique. It is easy to learn and to apply, and not only can you work to get your asthma under control (maybe even eliminated) but you can also quit that noxious smoking habit. But you will have to want to make those changes. And, if you do, you can download the free Get Started Package at http://tinyurl.com/yh5zhu, or if you want to dive in right away by purchasing the inexpensive instructional DVDs click here>> http://tinyurl.com/ycwle8 Read the testimonials on this site and you will know how effective this energy therapy is.

All the Best!

I know you probably don't want to hear this- but stop smoking. The smoke aggravates problems with the lungs.

If the asthma is connected to allergies, remove the allergens from your home environment. Which includes lots of dusting.

This isn't a sure-fire cure, but it will help at least. And you'll feel better about yourself.

Good luck.

First . I hope you don't smoke. if so quit soon. My grandmother would use a cool vaporizer with just a few drops of eucalyptus oil. make sure its all natural. Then before you go to bed turn it on through out the night, just once or twice a week. It did wonders.
hope it works for you. Most impotent follow the Dr. instructions

Take the herb comfrey.as a tea.
which is great for asthma

take two alfalfa tablets with each full meal.
the alfalfa helps digest food and well. I wont go all into it, but do take it.

Eat no sweets and white flour products.
eat mostly fruits and vegetables.

also get an air purifier for your home.
keep the filters clean in your air conditioning and heating system.

and at least try to cut back on the smoking .OK..

This cured me.

You both need to quit, once you quit, his second hand smoke is about equal to your smoking 10 cigs, If he doesn't it will hurt your chest, odds are you will be turned of by the stink of his body

Find a cadiopulmanary rehab connected with your hosp

Once you start excercising the need for inhalers will be reduced
but not totally not needed

I used to have asthma and I took 1 teaspoon of black seed oil (not flack seed oil) a day for four months and it went away. It has worked with other people too. you cant find it in a pharmacie but u can look it up online to see which store sell it. and theres no side effects just dont take it if you're pregnant.
