I had posted a question earlier in the week reguarding frequent urination and some boils on my skin. I was wondering if this could be the onset of diabetes? I was tested in mid-2005 for diabetes. My fasting glucose was 96 and my random test was 118. My uring anyalysis was negative. Can a 24 yr old develop diabetes un just 2 years? Im about 30 pounds overweight and excersice moderately every once in a while. Do eat a lot of carbs.

hey, sounds like you need to get checked again. are the boils healing well or slowly? diabetics have alot of problems with sores, cuts etc healing normally. that may be a symptom. if you are peeing alot, thirsty and tired more than usual I would strongly advise you to get checked again. if you are slightly overweight and have a high carb/fat/sugar diet and don't exercise very much you should be carefull. if they felt the need to check you previously you should be having checks regularly, maybe once to twice a year. good luck.

Yes you can develop diabetes and more than likely were nearing border line when you tested in mid 2005.

Levels should be in the 70-120 range some say 70-140 range. I tested in 2002 (december) and i was in the normal range. I tested again in August 2003 (just 8 months later) and i was confirmed to be Type 2 Diabetic.

Get tested again, have a complete physical including labs and get to the bottom of this asap.

Wish i could be of more help, but hope you get checked out and find out it's nothing serious and you get the situation fixed.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.

Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

People who think they might have diabetes must visit a physician for diagnosis. They might have SOME or NONE of the following symptoms:

Frequent urination
Excessive thirst
Unexplained weight loss
Extreme hunger
Sudden vision changes
Tingling or numbness in hands or feet
Feeling very tired much of the time
Very dry skin
Sores that are slow to heal
More infections than usual.
Nausea, vomiting, or stomach pains may accompany some of these symptoms in the abrupt onset of insulin-dependent diabetes, now called type 1 diabetes.

Healthy eating, physical activity, and insulin injections are the basic therapies for type 1 diabetes. The amount of insulin taken must be balanced with food intake and daily activities. Blood glucose levels must be closely monitored through frequent blood glucose testing.

Healthy eating, physical activity, and blood glucose testing are the basic therapies for type 2 diabetes. In addition, many people with type 2 diabetes require oral medication, insulin, or both to control their blood glucose levels.

Frequent urination is not a symptom of Diabetes by it's self. Frequent urination at night along with other symptoms, like getting shaky when you have not eat, pains in chest, night sweats, confusion, feeling dizzy, are just a few of the sign of Diabetes. Sometimes people have no symptoms at all and it is found in a unrelated blood test. Your readings are all with in normal limits. One can become Diabetic in a matter of days, but most of these have had it for awhile, undiagnosed.

Yes, you can develop diabetes in just two years although your symptoms may not necessarily be related to that.

You should get another glucose tolerance test or have your Hemoglobin A1c checked (which reflects your glucose levels for the past 3 months). Losing a bit of that weight and getting in better cardiovascular shape wouldn't hurt either.

You need to go back to the Doctors for a recheck. Symptoms of Diabetes is increased urination, increased thrist, and increased appetite.
Your glusose 118 is boderline so you should be tested again.
Diabetes Type 2 is common and may be treated with oral medication however it can be controlled by diet and exercise.
Good Luck!

Could be. You should check your blood sugar in the morning, afternoon (2 times [once at 12 and once at 4pm]) and at night. If your sugar is between 80 and 120 that's good. If the number is near 120 everytime you check the sugar I would see a doctor.
