I have to take this on occasion for my rheumatoid arthritis and the swelling and inflammation.

It's affect on me is I feel real good - no stiffness and I feel disease free.

For your disease, it may be prescribed also to reduce inflammation and swelling in the respiratory passages.

Please follow the prescription carefully. You are typically given a dosage that increases at the beginning and then reduces daily near the end. DO NOT GO COLD TURKEY or you may have serious withdrawal symptoms.

Corticosteriods are typically okay (all drugs have side effects that are different in everyone) when they are used for short periods of time to get you through a rough spot. I would not stay on them indefinitely (they cause weight gain in most).

Good Luck!
