I actually don't know of any except the one mentioned by Karen M, and I saw that on an episode on one on one. I'm not too sure if the ALDO tags for aids is a campaign but I think it is because the messages behind those adverts are quite powerful. But they hardly advertised them on tv, I have olny really seen the adverts in Aldo stores.

I think that there should be a lot more campaigns on sti's and std's, people are still playing games with their health and in this day and age.

Maybe if there were more campaigns then the world wouldn't be in the state it's in, it's so easy to get hold of condoms, and even when people have them they fail to use them, there is a lot of ignorance out there, and I'm sorry to have to even say that.

People need to have their eyes opened by campaigns, so that they will start think twice before having unprotected sex, it only takes one time to get an std/sti, and when people get them it may be too late.

The fact that I don't know of any campaigns and that there haven't been many in the last 5-10 years is astounding, the problem will get worse if awareness is poor.

Very good question.

For the life of me,and as my son would have been between the ages of 12 & 17 during that timeframe I paid attention to all those type ads...even in his schools, I can not recall a single one. I have little doubt that there was at least one but I imagine that the HIV/AIDS campaigns were front and center.

And 10 years ago television ads promoting the sale of specific condoms (Trojan & Sheik) were not that plentiful on television. And they were focused on promoting their uses for contraception and not stopping the spreadof STD's.

Sorry I can't cite a prior STD campaign for you.

There was one about if you have sex with this person you are having sex with everyone they had sex with and everyone they had sex with and so on.
