fried chicken with baked mac and cheese with peas and rice and 4 dessert oreo cookie and cream ice cream. thats what my grand ma made last sunday also a sweet potato pie.

Sounds great! It would have been perfect it there were some homemade biscuits and some collard greens. Grandmas are the best aren't they. My granny made the best homemade mac n cheese and nothing like her fried chicken. Good times, good memories!

oh sweet potato pie... Was it candied or not. My mum used to make it candied, and I always thought it was too sweet. There is nothing as good as a sweet potato pie.
Rice and peas, or peas with rice? Baked Mac and cheese, loverly.
Fried chicken? Fried in what. Gosh you have my mouth watering. And oreo cookies and Cream ice cream?
I have to sit down now. I can't get any of that right now.
You have made me very very hungry. Wish I could have joined you.

Your grandma is lovely, but there's nothing in there to fuel your body, except possibly the peas, if they were not canned and if you ate more than 1/2 cup. She took chicken and sweet potatoes and turned them into fatmakers. People used to eat like that every day and it's a wonder anyone lived past 50!

Everything is okay except the Fried Chicken. Fried foods are not that good to consume.

never had sweet potato pie but i love sweet potatoes. Sounds like one of those meals that you are so glad to splurge your calorie intake on!
