If you need to get up to go to the toilet during the night, often feel tiard (you might have been putting this down to your age, but it could be a symptom of diabetes), generally being run down - skin infections etc. The good news is that if you do have diabetes then it will almost definitely be type 2, which can often be controled by diet or tablets (not injections) when you're first diagnosed (although you may need injections in the future). Some pharmacys (eg.Lloyds) will test you for diabetes, or speak to your dr. The important thing with type 2 diabetes because it's onset is so gradual, is to be diagnosed as early as possible - all the time that you wait to see if you'll get worse before getting tested is time that diabetes could be seriously damaging your body - eyes, heart, kidneys, feet etc. etc. so go and get checked out asap just incase - no-one will think you're being paranoid and your gp will be really glad you went in for a test - if everyone did then they wouldn't have so many patients with complications to worry about! Try not to worry too much - hopefully you don't have it! Good luck xx

Are you over weight? If you are then there is a good chance you have it without having any usual symptoms.
Typical symptoms are. A raging thirst usually when the diabetes reaches a more critical point. Rapid unknown reason weight loss. The need to pass water more than you would consider normal. Especially at night. Erectile dysfunction. Constant un explained tiredness.
Go to a doctor and have the Well Man medical. They check your weight ,blood pressure, do a blood test and do a test on the urine you take in which must be morning gathered soon after waking up. Best of luck and if you have got it just follow the advice given and you can beat it. You might even feel better for it once the weight has gone down.

over 65 are more likly to be type 2 diabetes.....type 1 is usually seen in under 30s and symptoms are fast forming and people are usually diagnosed in hospital and is insulin were as type 2 is low forming and usually diagnosed at gp surgery, usually tablet and diet but in some causes u can be type 2 and need insulin butthey only can occur if u dont control ur diabetes

Symptoms like the others have said are increased thirst and hunger but with weight loss, blured vision, and constance urinating

Its important that it is addressed.....as having a hyper....can cause more frequent urinatin which can cause dehyration which isnt what u wanr for a 65 year old, if this is not checked it can .....in worst cases cause kidney failure.....if the person gets a hypo then they can et drunk like syptoms....sluggish behaviour, sweating and then worst case coma and death.....

Dont want to scare u.....as most cases are controlled but everyones different and sypmtoms can change for each person....Diabetes is a metobolic disorder and its characterised by hyperglycaemia (high blood sugar)....basically the body cant use the blood sugar that is availble, becuase the insulin in the body is ether resistant or there is none there....insulin is a hormone in the pancreas and the pancreas stimulates insulin when we eat and the insulin allow glucose 9blood sugar) into the bodys cells.....if there is not enough insulin the blood sugar remains high and the cells remains starved....leading to hyperglycaemia.....i

hope that helps!

Many common natural remedies are claimed to have blood sugar lowering properties that make them useful for people with or at high risk of diabetes. Learn here https://tr.im/VSmAq

A number of clinical studies have been carried out in recent years that show potential links between herbal therapies and improved blood glucose control, which has led to an increase in people with diabetes using these more 'natural' ingredients to help manage their condition.

As a diabetic the first thing you will probably notice is fatigue, the next is probably either drinking a lot of water and or a sore willy. This is caused as the chemicals that are created cause your willy to suffer and be very sore.
To rapidly reduce sugars go for a walk taking a load of water, jog a little but do not go stupid. Stay of any fruit, or starch like rice, potatoes, sugar, eat fish, boiled, chicken turkey etc., eat vegetables like cabbage, lettuce, celebrise, cauliflower.
You also have to see the doctor!!!
Finally, the thing we all have trouble with LOSE WEIGHT.

You don’t need to exercise for hours on end. Short, sharp sets of exercise will produce better results in the event you work hard. Get a skipping rope, skip for two units, do push ups for 60 seconds or so, skip for two minutes, rest for example minute. Then change the push approximately something else like sit ups in addition to do the set again. Repeat it five times and it’s a rapid, effective workout that will advance results than a long work or swim.
