I lived In Hawaii for 8 years on Oahu. Salt Lake area there is a Korean Restaurant named Soon's BBQ. I loved a dish called Meat Juhn (not sure if I spelled it right) It was thin slices of beef with like an egg wash then fried served with Kim Chee and white rice. Any ideas ? is this an actual korean dish or something they made up.... I have tried to duplicate but ....?

ALOHAZ....

You can basically use the same sauce as SHOYU CHICKEN

its kinda like the korean bbq called Bul ko ki said like bur go gi

However it is thin sliced beef

1 cup shoyu (soy sauce)
1 cup sugar
1cup water
1 garlic clove
green onion
2 table spoons sesame seed oil

marinate the meat over night

or at least an hour b4

combine all ingrediants first mix well then add in your meat

make it tender lomi lomi( rub the meat) in marinate

cook on the bbq or in a firing pan

EnJoY

top it off with some green onion

and ya we hawaiians like egg on our food with some rice and kim chee TIME FO GRIND!!

go to that website and scroll to the bottom and it will tell you that it is part of korean cuisine and there is also a picture to verify it is what you are talking about.

HERE IS WHAT IT SAYS if you cant open the website

Using the basic marinade for different proteins such as Kal Bi, BBQ Chicken and Meat Juhn, Chef demonstrated this Meat Juhn and made a special sauce made with Ko Chuu Jung, rice vinegar and honey….sooo tasty !
