Do inhalers, Specifically made for Athsma affect your immune system?

Ever since I've been diagnosed, I've been getting sick, really easy, when I used to be strong.

Is my inhaler doing this to my body, or is my body just weakening?

Depends what type of inhaler you're using. Strict beta-agonists (i.e. albuterol), which are used as rescue-type inhalers, shouldn't mess with your immune system, although this point is probably arguable by some more academic types.

If the inhaler contains a steroid (i.e. Advair), then it is likely that some of the steroid is being absorbed systemically. These are maintenance-type inhalers and function to modify the immune response of airway cells for longer periods of time. As in many patients taking steroids, you could be more susceptible to infection.

The fact that you have developed asthma may also have something to do with your getting sick more often.

I also was diagnosed with athsma, I rarely use the inhaler i was prescribed. What I have found works for me is to treat it myself the all natural way, running. It opens up the lungs if you have a hard time getting into that just practice deep breathing whenever you think about it that is essentually what the inhaler does.

Do a google search for the name of the inhalers your using

Web Med at the end of the description of the drug gives side effects and overdose effects

Example if your using albuterol every 4 hours then you shouldn't be using any other bronchial meds except for steroids

I was on Spirava and albuterol and felt very weak, I stopped the albuterol and feel better

You really need to ask your doctor this.
Even though he/she might be busy, they can always get with a reference section of any medical library or hand-down the work to their PA. Ask to get their answer in writing, and they will make certain it is right.

You need to boost your immune system with a good multivitamin and antioxidant supplement.
