Mayonnaise is a thick sauce made primarily from vegetable oil and egg yolks.[1] Whitish-yellow in color, it is a stable emulsion formed from the oil and yolks and is generally flavored with salt, pepper, vinegar and/or lemon juice, and frequently mustard. Mayonnaise is one of the basic mother sauces of classic French cooking; numerous other sauces can be created from it by adding additional seasonings

Its not pork. They say mayonnaise is bad for you because of the cholesterol from the eggs . The ingredients or on the label. It might be bad for some but I love it as long as it is Best Foods. All others taste nasty. I put mayonnaise in almost everything I eat. Almost not everything. Theres nothing better than a flour tortilla with some refried beans and alittle cheese and chopped up onions and a scoop of best foods rolled up for a quick snack. If I wasnt making cinnamon rolls right now I would probably go and make bean burrito right now. Tuna wouldnt be tuna without mayo.

A seasoned emulsion of uncooked egg yolks and oil, generally olive oil. It usually includes a bit of mustard, lemon juice, salt, pepper and whatever other seasonings one wants to include. And it can be made at home, with nothing more in the way of tools than a bowl, some measuring spoons, a knife to cut the lemon, and a fork to whisk it all together.
Or, you can check the label.

When you are dealing with Industrial Mayo...depends where is produced...who knows what they ad to make the production cheaper like every thing else.- But for homemade receipe...you can do it 2 ways. Using as base One or 2- very well boiled Skined potatoes...depends how much you want to do, insert the boiled potatoes after you cut them in small pieces...in a slow mooviing mixer always mooving clockwise in one - same direction, then ad up to 4 hard boiled yolks only....do not include the white part of the eggs...let potato and egg yolk mix well - cream wise...and then in intervals as the mixer still going on...same way as before ad olive oil - and lemon juice- equal portions...until the mixture double the size.- If you do n't want to use potatoe...then you can start the mixture with hard boiled 12- eggs yolks only...never include the white part of the eggs in any mayo- mixture. The whole secret is the mixer has to moove slow and always clockwise- same direction.

Oil and Eggs. Actually you can make your own by putting equal amounts of eggs and oil in a blender and whipping it till it is creamy. It is not good for as long as store bought because there are no preservatives in homemade. Enjoy!!
