In my case, it came on so gradually, that the doctor was able to pick it up during routine physicals/bloodwork. In fact, he warned me that if I didn't get on a healthy diet, I would become diabetic. He was right. Now that I'm on a healthy diet and exercise routine, all is well. So becoming diabetic was probably a good thing for me. Taught me how to take care of myself.... the hard way.

Why would they test for it. The medical industry is not and never will be proactive it is only reactive. Diabetes is curable also. This is a medical and pharmacy fantasy. Why would the pharmacy industry ever cure any disease, it would destroy their profits. If they can't keep you on a pill it isn't profitable to them. Therefore natural cures are a waist of time for them. Read Insulin: The Silent Killer by thomas smith. He cured his own diabetes after 6 years of research 10 years ago because the medical industry was so enemic. Don't believe what you always hear and question things. Why not, assuming you dont have type 1- and if you do you will know about it, eat a great diet and never have to worry about developing diabetes? And by the way, you can now buy self testing kits which are quirte reasonable but where is it going to stop and how often are you going to test? You can test for bowel cancer, diabetes, menopause, prostate problems, cadidiasis etc, etc.
