Well, after watching Animal Planet... I think more people probably have them than anyone thinks! According to the various shows on there, something like 1 in 5 people have worms! YUK! But I'm assuming that's including the populations of little African villages and stuff where almost everyone has them, so skewing the percentage.

I'm not sure how feasible it would be for vegetarians though. Most of the worm types they show on those shows come from eating undercooked meat. Although I know it's possible to get some types from injesting fleas (same way cats and dogs get it), so if you have pets, it's always a possibility. And YES... people injest bugs. That's another nasty statistic I learned on Animal Planet. We eat HUNDREDS of bugs throughout our lifetime... mostly while we sleep. YUK!

a few weeks ago i had pin worms,IT WAS REALLY NASTY!
