The outbreaks appear not monthly. It depends usually on your condition. Be care full when you are very stressed out or if your ill. When you immunity system is "busy" you can get an outbreak. But it is not periodically.
I have herpes for about 2 years and it occur ed more and more rarely. Also the symptoms got weaker, it is true.
When I have an outbreak I usually don't sleep with my boyfriend, and in 2 years he had not one symptom. You can transmit it only when the blisters appear.
He knows about my condition and he is OK with it, just have a talk, people understand.

i first want to say u r certainly not alone, so don't feel lonely. i assure u that u can have kids and a normal life. u don't have 2 marry the first girl that comes along, the person u r meant 2 be w/ will understand and see past the fact that u have herpes. when i first found out i had herpes i was devastated. i mean really devastated. it's only been a little over 1 year so every now and then i get sad and feel bad about myself and the decisions i've made in the past. it's totally normal to feel the way u do, and i promise u will start 2 feel better about the situation w/ time. Remember everything happens for a reason, even when we can't understand why there is always a reason. i like 2 believe it's always 4 good. i believe i got herpes so that i would change my behavior and have more compassion for people. with time u will start to see that all things work together 4 good. u will get through this, God won't ever put more on u than u can bear. whether or not u will get outbreaks every month depends on your immune system, everybody is different. if u r sure this is your first outbreak and have painless blisters i would take that as a good sign. outbreaks typically improve with time so if it's mild now it's not likely it will get worse. i pray that u do become symptomless w/ time, but if u don't there is medicine to help u. good luck, it's not the end of the world. enjoy life, live, be happy, keep ur chin up:)

A blood test will tell if you really have herpes.
If you find that you have frequent outbreaks, there is a daily medication you can take to reduce the frequency.
You can still get married, plenty of people do, and you can still have a kid. If your wife has herpes and has a child, the only risk is that, if she has an outbreak during the last stage of pregnancy, they may want to give her a caesarean, but that's it.
Calm down, your life isn't over. Plenty of people live with herpes. Just get educated, be aware when you might have an outbreak and always use condoms in the future!

Are you sure that it's herpes? I was told by 2 doctors that I had herpes and when I had an outbreak and went to 3rd doctor he said that it wasn't herpes, it was a reaction to something that I was using (bath soap, laundry soap, fabric softener, etc). I never found out what it was that caused it but as long as I use Dove soap for sensitive skin, All free and clear and no fabric softener or bubble bath, etc. I am fine.
P.s. You can still have children.
Good luck!

get more information about HSV. even though herpes cant be cured yet it can be controlled. there are new medications available now. There is no set pattern for the outbreaks. and each one can be different. Stress can cause flare ups. if you eat healthy, exercise, drink lots of water. you can help yourself stay healthy. Always use protection when having sex and wash your hands well after handling yourself. Be honest with any potential sex partner. especially if you would like a relationship. it really isnt the end of the world. you can have a life. there are support groups available for people with herpes too. contact one.

I got clinically diagnosed with herpes virus (type 2) about 3 yrs ago, whilst I was still in college and had a silly one-night stand. I understand a lot of girls say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a massive mistake that one time and all of a sudden I felt like I was going to have to live with the implications for the rest of my life. The hardest part was feeling I could never date other men again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone that has sores around her private parts? But since a friend shared this video https://tr.im/1d9A6 everything got better.
Not only was I able to eradicate all traces of the hsv from my body in less than 3 weeks, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so lucky to write that just last week, in front of everybody in a busy restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!!! This program provided me the opportunity to be happy and experience true love again. Now I want to help others by sharing this story.
