Godiva chocolate liquor or any type of cream de cacao (chocolate cream liquor).
tipple sec (orange liquor) would also be good.
If you did the choclate liquor I would pour it over the strawberries and ice cream, like you would for chocolate syrup. But for the tripple sec, I would mix it with the berries first. then add it to the ice cream.
brandy would go better with cherries.
Mint and baileys would not mix as well with strawberry, but are great on ice cream.

take brown sugar1/2cup packed, rum or southern comfort 2ounces, 2table spoons of butter warm butter and sugar at a low temp until sugar dissolves then add spirits and serve warm over strawberries and ice cream if serving to non drinkers or kids heat for several minuets on low until the alcohol cooks out and if you like a little spice shake a little cinnamon in the mix. You can try this with bananas also! (brandy will also work! just depends on the flavor you like)
