in my opinion, becuase your diet is very well balanced, you should not be worried about eating too much salad. hey, eating too much salad (as long as you eat it with a low fat dressing) is better than eating lots of fried fast foods- right? just remember to include lots of protein in your diet.

I find myself doing the same thing, since I don't like meat. Salads are good for you; you are not addicted, keep it up! Here are some tips to keep your new habit healthy:
-First of all, use a wide variety of green leaves, not just water-leaf (ice-burg).
-Second, experiment with additions to your salads. My mom and I used to have a giant salad for dinner nearly every night, and we would try different nuts, seeds, cheeses, and a myriad of fruits and vegetables for a truly unique salad every day.
-Third, there are tons of different dressings you can use. All you need to make a dressing is an acid, an oil, and seasoning. (Remember to use the dressing sparingly)
-Fourth, experiment! Don't forget your salads don't have to be just savoury, use fruits and fruit-based dressings for a bit of fun, and try different herbs as well.
Eating salad all the time will not harm you in any way, whatever other people may say. (if you are needing to be near the restroom a lot it is only because your body is in detox--a good thing, and it won't last long) Using dark green leafy vegetables as a base for healthy meals is a great, nutritious, filling and exciting way to eat. Just remember variety is the spice of life, and lots of vivid colours in your fruits and veggies are healthy!
Additionally, make sure you are getting enough whole grains. Rice is a great staple food you might consider using in conjunction with your salads. Add beans and barley to salads for added colour, texture, flavour, and nutrition.

I eat a green salad a day in order
to make sure I get calcium from the
greens. They're great but you will
burn out on salad alone and begin
to feel tired. As a result you will
probably go back to meat.
Invest in a vegetarian cook or
too. You may even be able to find
one at a local library .
For real variety try to find one
that includes Thai, Indian, Korean,
and Middle Eastern recipes.
Be sure to include whole grains,
peanut butter, soybeans, black beans,
mock meats, fruits, lentils and 1/4 cup
of nuts a day in order to get adequate
protein. Research and find out how
much to get of each.
Go to the USDA website and look at
the vegetarian food pyramid. It will
help you.

I Would advise not to eat large amounts at once.......
Salad is very heathly/benificale for you
I Want to send you this article .....
It talks about the cons of salad
http://cholesterol.about.com/b/a/071171.htm?terms=health+effects+of+eating
But Also eating salad is also knowen to ruin your digestive system and damage your intestines!
Salad is a high source of fibre.
Also, too much fiber can cause diarrhea, which could lead to nutrient deficiency caused by malabsorption.
so really i would just wtahc how much you eat of it....if you just eat salad all-day everyday i would definaltey slow it down....if you have a large bowl of salad everyday 9once a day!) then youll be okay....but remember not to let it swim in a pool full of that vinager dressing....even ceaser which is harmful if you have to much.....use the lowfat dressings are try not to use to much!

You will be in trouble soon. You have to find a substitute for the meat protein. There is very little protein in veggies. However, your protein substitute can be found in beans, legumes, nuts. Also soybean products are rich in protein like tofu. Gluten, prepared from unbleached flour, can be made into any meat-like dish as well, and high in protein content.

It sounds like you folks are doing well as you are eating a widely varied vegan diet. You are avoiding chemical (preservatives, et cetera), antibiotics (absorbed into factory farmed meat and dairy) and cholesterol. One deficiency that you wlll need tocompensate for it B12 - it's necessary, not found in a plant based diet, so simply take a one-a-day multi-vitamin.

salad`s great but add some substance... grilled fish(or chicken and meat), nuts, popped rice. cous cous salad, corn, potatoes, terra chips...it doesn`t end. Be creative you can make full meals. Make sure to keep the balance though, low calorie vegies can`t keep you healthy exclusively.

too much of one thing is not good for you. Sooner or later you're going to start having some kind of side effects (ie. pooping alot!) Keep a variety in your diet, and look into what to replace meat with. (Tofu?)
