Yes it does. It needs to be taken with the food that causes problems so that the enzymes are in the right place to aid the digestion of the startches that cause gas.
The tablets have gelatin and so are not vegetarian. It is also sold in liquid form with no gelatin that, so far as I am aware, is entirely vegetarian, but that is harder to find.

I don't know but one type of Beano is not vegetarian friendly. It's got Gelatin in it I think.

I've known two people who've had intestinal restructuring and both had the worse gas and both got relief from Beano.

For each portion of gassey food, take one pill, and do this with the first bite. For one portion, swallow one pill. For two portions, swallow two pills, etc.

i love it! of course, nothing works 100%, but this is more than close enough for me! my favorite veggies are peppers and onions, so i think i might buy stock in the company!
