I smoked for 20 years. I used the patch. You don't start with the strongest but the one down from the strongest. I also sent off for free info from the American Cancer society and the Lung association. Then I picked a quit date and planed my week around it. The first day was on a Sunday. I went to places where there was no smoking. Movies, mall etc. and I stayed away from smokers. I started walking and drinking lots of water. and I prayed!!! After 5 tried, and quiting for months at a time I finally did it with Gods help! I don't want it at all anymore. It's been 9 years now. Whew... †

Probably not, chances are it will feel awkward for a while because you wont be breathing in smoke anymore, but I dont think you will have problems, I know ex-smokers can be irritable temporarily though, you might wanna watch out for that.

I just had cravings, and I found I did not want to eat as much, then I got a bit irritable for a while, but having been smoke free for a year I feel much better and my skin looks better as well

I had one chest infection after another for about six months and believe it or not my teeth started to fall out. I put on four stone, apart from that isn't life grand?
