Which do you prefer, Boca Burgers, or Morningstart Burgers? I am new to being a vegetarian, and I tend to like the Morningstar burgers myself, but I was just curious.

By the way, If you have tried another meatless burger that you thought was better than one of these two, I would like to know! Thanks!

Morningstar Farms Has the perfect familiar burgers. yet Boca Chik'n is larger than any of the Morningstar Farms Patties. Boca promises Vegan patties inspite of the incontrovertible fact that, Morningstar is purely vegetarian. Im a vegan so i will purely consume Boca. Their familiar patties arent that solid.

I really don't like Boca burgers. I have three in my freezer that have been there for months that I won't ever touch because I have good Morningstar Farms burgers instead.

I especially like the Spicy Black Bean Burgers with a slice of tomato and some avocado on top. Yum!

Depends on the kind of burger. I myself never liked real hamburgers when I ate meat anyway, but supposedly boca has very real tasting ones. Overall, I prefer Morningstar Farms to Boca for burgersand other products, but Boca has a superior ground round, which I use for making veggie tacos.

Gardenburger, one of the oldest mainstream brands, is pretty good, but they have very little that is fully vegan, so they only really work for regular vegetarians.

Quorn brand has quite a few good products (not burgers), but they're a little harder to find in most grocery stores. (I think they're a European product-line, but I'm not sure.)

If you can find it, Franklin Farms has some great burgers, but I think they are a local-ish brand, so depending on where you live, you probably won't see them anywhere.

If you're looking for other types, and happen to have a Stop'N'Shop grocery store nearby, they have a pretty decent variety in their organic section. They're a little pricier than, say, Walmart or other similar national chains, but they're one of the only ones I've found with a good selection.

Welcome to the crowd, and good luck with finding some good stuff.

I personally like Vegan Boca burgers.
Lightlife veggie chicken strips.
I've's veggie chicken patties.

Dr. Praeger's TEx mex Veggie Royale
burgers, California burgers, and Bombay
burgers. There's also a really great one
made by 360".

I don't like Quorn or Morningstar because
they use egg whites and far too many
chemicals and spices.

I can't stand Boca or Gardenburger but I LOVE Morningstar. The only burgers they make that I like are the Griller's Prime ones... I think the other varieties taste too much like Boca. But I also love all their other products... especially their chic'n and their sausage links!

One other great product is Quorn. Their naked cutlets can be used just like you'd use a boneless skinless chicken breast and the taste is much like chicken. (I know that sounds nasty to you long-time veggies, but for us newbies it's what allows us to make the switch!). I like to smother it in bbq sauce and put it on the grill, or I also breaded it and fried it the other day and it was DE-LISH!!!! Quorn also is easier to use in saucy foods (stews, soups, casserole, etc) as it doesn't get soggy like some of the other meat subs do.
