The standard daiquiri recipe calls for 1 oz rum, 1/2 oz of any flavour fruit liqueur or syrup, sour mix, milk and ice blended.
What I have made in the past with excellent enjoyment both on my part, my girlfriend (my sampler) and my customers is this:
2 oz rum
1/2 (little more than two hand fulls) cup of chopped mango chunks
sour mix (lime, lemon juice with sugar water)
milk
ice
Blend until desired thickness and serve in a chilled cocktail or martini glass with sugar on the rim. Garnish with mango stick and enjoy.
Bartending is allot like the early days of jet test pilots. See what happens if you do this and add that. You take the basic recipe and make it your own. It's the only way to get customers going to YOUR bar for a drink they can't get anywhere else.
Cheers.

Buy some mangos, slice them up and pop them in the blender so you get a puree. Then add that to some ice, and dark rum (however much you like, according to how strong you want it to be!) and then blend everything together just until the ice is crushed so you have the texture of a slush.
